Job Role Overview

A Marine Vessel Engineer is required to work in a dynamic environment with our team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Marine Engineer, preferably within the marine tourism industry;
  • In-depth knowledge of marine engines and systems;
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement practical safety measures;
  • Excellent customer service skills, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction;
  • Experience working with high-speed vessels;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively;
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service resolution.
About the Job

This role involves performing daily maintenance tasks, ensuring the safe mechanical operation of vessels, and conducting repairs efficiently and safely according to established procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily engine and machinery checks on assigned vessels;
  • Assisting the Master with vessel management and operations, adhering to policies and procedures;
  • Diagnosing system issues promptly;
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance requirements and activities;
  • Developing and implementing effective vessel maintenance programs;
  • Ensuring accurate completion and sign-off of logs and work orders;
  • Liaising with shore-based support for servicing and repairs as needed;
  • Securing vessels at various marinas and island jetties;
  • Participating in regular safety drills under the guidance of the Master;
  • Providing support with guest experience duties, including greeting and assisting guests.
