Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Fortitude Valley, working on various infrastructure projects across Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, posi-tracks, tipper trucks, and HR trucks.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators (5T), posi-tracks, tipper trucks, and HR trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Set up job sites according to supervisor's requirements, ensuring all necessary documents are completed, including JSEA/Pre-Start forms.
  • Interpret DBYD plans to locate underground assets before commencing works.
  • Maintain site vehicles and equipment, ensuring they remain clean and in good working order.
  • Report daily productivity and issues to engineers and supervisors.
  • Implement environmental controls in accordance with site CEMPs.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in earthmoving and excavation.
  • An HR driver's license is a must, while a HC license is highly regarded.
  • Experience working in residential and commercial environments.
  • A good understanding of maintenance requirements for designated machinery.
  • Experience in reaming/opening holes in various ground conditions.
  • White Card/Relevant Plant Tickets.
