We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
The Senior HSSE Business Partner will play a critical role in developing and implementing a strategic vision for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) within our Australian operations. This includes working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to identify and mitigate HSSE risks, optimize worker health and safety, protect assets and personal security, reduce environmental impact, and foster a positive HSSE culture.
This role also involves providing strategic and technical HSSE advice and support to our operational teams, supervisors, and employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering initiatives that continually improve our culture and performance in line with the Puma Energy Global HSSE Vision and Strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field;
- Minimum 7 years' experience in heavy industries, such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction, or Manufacturing;
- Detailed knowledge of HSE-related legislation, industry standards, and management system standards (ISO 45001, ISO 45003, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001);
- Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative style that can manage and influence various stakeholders;
- Excellent written and communication skills, including liaising effectively with employees, contractors, management, and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others, including legislators, external auditors, and accreditation bodies;
- High level of interpersonal skills, including strong teamwork, negotiating, and influencing skills;
- Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and report writing skills;
- Valid driver's licence;
- Ability to undertake regular domestic travel (up to 70%) across Puma's Australian operating sites.
