Job Overview

Fulton Hogan, a leading infrastructure company, is seeking experienced Vacuum Excavation Operators to join our team in Fortitude Valley. As a key member of our Utilities business, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects and contributing to the company's mission of creating, connecting, and caring for communities.

About the Role

We are looking for individuals with a strong background in operating large Vacuum Excavation plant, who can demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety. As a Senior Civil Construction Operative, you will be responsible for general Vac Truck operations, maintaining and operating safe, clean, and secure plant and equipment, and performing general labouring duties on civil works projects as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Vac Truck operations
  • Maintain and operate safe, clean, and secure plant and equipment
  • General labouring duties on civil works projects as required
  • Making sure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
  • Assist in additional aspects of construction as required
Requirements
  • White Card / HR open drivers licence at a minimum / Vacuum Excavation operator VoC from an RTO
  • Experience in operating large Vacuum Excavation plant (min 3 years) with a demonstrated ability to identify, analyse & provide solutions to routine on-site problems
  • A good understanding of the day-to-day maintenance required for designated machinery
  • Be able to read & interpret Utility plans for service location purposes & to mark-up plans & communicate service conflict locations to Project Leads
