Your New Role at Port Kembla


As a Field Service Mechanic with Coates Hire, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our hire equipment and machinery on customer sites. This includes safe, effective, and efficient preventative maintenance, service, and overhaul as required.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver a first-class service to our customers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site, including access equipment, EWPs, compaction, excavators, compressors, and light towers
  • Evaluate and ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake any repair on site

About You


We are looking for an experienced Trade Qualified individual with relevant skills and qualifications, including:



  • Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
  • Effective time management and attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills
  • A commitment to safety
