Electrical Maintenance Technician

BlueScope is a global leader in the steel industry, operating in 15 countries with a team of over 16,500 people. We're seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Plate Mill team in Port Kembla, Australia.
This is a day shift position with a shift relief component, requiring the ability to work an 8-hour Monday to Friday roster with 1 RDO per month.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform safe, efficient, and effective equipment repairs and emergency repairs, following safe systems of work, isolation instructions, and job safety analysis.
- Equipment Inspections: Conduct equipment inspections to identify improvement opportunities and report on findings.
- Fault Finding: Fault-find on electrical equipment, including PLC's, drive systems, sensors, and control loops, as well as steel processing equipment and cranes.
- Qualifications: Electrical trade qualifications and a current NSW Electrical License.
- Experience: Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, with experience working with PLC's and drives.
- Commitment: A strong commitment to safety, experience in fault finding and problem solving, and initiative in carrying out equipment repairs.
