Job Title: Heavy Vehicle and Plant Technician
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Heavy Vehicle and Plant Technician to join the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) team.
About the Team
The Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle and Plant Technician to perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy plant equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Work Group Leader to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of the Plant and Equipment fleet on the ARTC network.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy plant equipment
- Work closely with the Work Group Leader to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of the Plant and Equipment fleet
- Collaborate with the team to ensure safe and efficient service delivery outcomes
Requirements
- Diesel, Light Vehicle Mechanic or Electrical Mechanics trade
- Experience performing maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy plant
- Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good written and oral skills
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Current drivers licence and proficiency in driving a manual car
