Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Plate Mill team based in Port Kembla.

The Opportunity

As a member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards. This is primarily a day shift position that also encompasses a shift relief component to relieve the electrical shift maintenance team as required. You will primarily work an 8-hour Monday to Friday roster, consisting of 1 RDO per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the safe system of work, isolation instructions, and job safety analysis for the required work.
  • Perform safe, efficient, and effective equipment repairs and emergency repairs.
  • Deliver safe and effective maintenance to plant equipment following WDD's.
  • Fault-find on electrical equipment including PLC's, drive systems, sensors, and control loops.
  • Fault-find on steel processing equipment and cranes.
  • Perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities, and report on findings.

About You

We're looking for someone with electrical trade qualifications, a current NSW Electrical License, and experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. You should have experience working with PLC's and drives, a strong commitment to safety, and experience in fault finding and problem solving.
