About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects, including implementing timecard modules and automating onboarding processes. You will also be responsible for leading payroll and HR system implementations, creating project plans which also includes risk management.

The role includes:

  • Project Management:
  • Lead payroll/HR system implementations, upgrades, or improvements.
  • Create project plans, define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and meeting deadlines and standards.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on time.

Team Leadership:

  • Review work completed by project analysts.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities while providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze current payroll processes and gap analysis.
  • Implement best practices and drive efficiency in payroll operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and audit requirements.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks to payroll projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Data validation, review payroll imports files.
  • Conduct system tests to identify issues and ensure functionality before going live.
  • Ensure that all payroll processes adhere to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

Training and Development:

  • Facilitate training sessions for team members on new payroll systems and procedures.
  • Ensure ongoing development and knowledge-sharing within the team.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in payroll operations.
