Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Geology Leader to spearhead our Resource Geology Practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in geological modelling, data validation, and resource estimation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to expand our services and capabilities in the mining sector.
  • Project Leadership: Lead geological modelling, data validation, and resource estimation efforts for mining clients.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and mentor early- and mid-career staff.
  • Field Work: Participate in field work activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in geology or engineering geology; advanced degree preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Professional registration (e.g., CGeol) and affiliation with professional organizations (e.g., GSL, AusIMM).
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience working in consulting; significant experience in business development, project leadership, and staff management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Geological Knowledge: High standard of technical geological knowledge across a broad range of commodities.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with geological modelling and geostatistical software (e.g., Datamine, Isatis, Leapfrog).
  • Language Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills.
