Geology Team Leaders play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of the earth's subsurface structures. We are currently seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead our Open Pit Geology Team and drive the management of geological operations.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality geological block models in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Managing contracts for grade control and exploration drilling services.
  • Conducting exploratory activities focused on near-mine targets aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Providing input as required on tenement administration and statutory reporting.
  • Leading initiatives aimed at promoting safety awareness within the team.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science (Geology) or higher qualification.
  • Proven experience in managing teams with effective communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of 3D geostatistical estimation techniques and geological principles.
  • Experience working in arid environments and RC drilling supervision.
  • Previous exposure to Vulcan, Acquire Systems, and ArcGIS is advantageous.
