Geological Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Geological Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing geological activities across our site to ensure alignment with our mine plan and budget.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the mine team to coordinate geology activities and ensure alignment with the mine plan and budget
  • Supervise and mentor a team of geologists and technicians to deliver geological services of the highest standard
  • Oversight of production and development geology function and routine mine to mill reconciliations
  • Ensure quality assurance/quality control meets industry best practice
  • Maintain and coordinate the drill schedule to meet production requirements while respecting budgets
  • Support the Team Lead of Geology to drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide guidance and leadership to less experienced technical team members

About You:

  • Senior Mine Geologist with previous experience in Open Pit Mining
  • Bachelor of Science (Geology)
  • Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of geostatistical and geological principles
  • Understanding of arid environment regolith profiles and experience with RC drilling supervision
  • Previous exposure to Vulcan, Deswik, Acquire Systems, and ArcGIS
  • Ability to work across both production and development geology and willingness to conduct field work when needed
  • Current and valid manual C-class driver licence
  • Effective communication skills to mentor, train, and relay technical information and activities to team members
