Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Publisher Sales Director - APAC to drive success for our Publisher Development team and our publishers in the SEA & Australia region. As the senior most supply expert for the APAC region, you will cultivate C-Suite publisher relationships and leverage metrics to drive the publisher acquisition process with operational rigor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies with PubDev leadership to drive revenue growth and expand our publisher network.
  • Manage strategic channel partnerships and assess new market opportunities to identify lucrative business model opportunities.
  • Streamline processes to accelerate sales growth and shape the portfolio to meet sales targets in publisher quality and targeting.
  • Maximize the value of existing partnerships, including restructuring deals or terminating underperforming alliances.
  • Lead GumGum's positioning with key digital media publishers and collaborate with teams to ensure quality inventory and operational excellence.
  • Engage with publishers to understand their needs and leverage insights and technology to drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans, including account targets and quotas, and analyze and present inventory data to grow monetization.
  • Lead inventory management and recommend annual plans for publisher development.
  • Standardize and implement global supply tactics and tools, refine playbooks, tools, and methods to ensure consistency in sales presentations and materials.
  • Forecast, track, and measure sales KPIs using CRM tools, reporting to the executive team.
  • Advocate for publishers in feature development and product planning.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and forums to build partnerships and stay informed on emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8+ years in ad tech, with 7+ years in business development/sales.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and securing partnerships, particularly in business development.
  • Expertise in complex, multi-faceted ad tech products and supporting technologies.
  • Strong industry network and consistent track record of meeting/exceeding business targets.
  • Deep knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, programmatic media buying/selling, and emerging trends.
  • Ability to provide leadership with insights on trends, performance, and strategy.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and Google Drive.
  • Strong communication, presentation, closing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally and lead strategic conversations.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and time management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, creative problem solver with a growth mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region.
