About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Austal. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance for the delivery of contract engineering support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engineering change proposals and designs to ensure asset capability and integrity is maintained.
  • Conduct timely engineering investigations and provide technical risk analysis and awareness.
  • Review and develop technical instructions, requests for problem resolution, and promote a HSEQ culture across all activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives through corrective actions arising from incidents or non-conformances.
Requirements
  • Formal degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline, recognised by Engineers Australia as suitable for registration in the Professional Engineer (Member) category.
  • Australian Citizen, if the role requires the Department of Defence and/or the Department of Home Affairs Security Clearances.
  • Well-developed communication skills and 5 years' experience in a sustainment engineering role.
  • Knowledge of asset management standards, systems, and processes, as well as configuration management systems and processes.
  • Capable of achieving Level 4 Authorised Engineering Authority delegation under the Navy Technical Regulatory System or equivalent.
