Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist geriatric medicine services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director, Older Person, Subacute and Rehabilitation, to ensure the delivery of high-quality geriatric services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to geriatric medicine.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of service delivery.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Queensland.
- Postgraduate qualification in geriatric medicine or a related field.
- Experience in geriatric medicine, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
