**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Relational Database Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases using SQL Server.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with database administration in technical and operational level environments.

  1. Implement and manage relational databases through multiple product lifecycle environments.

  2. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance.

  3. Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.

  4. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

  5. Assist developers with complex query tuning, schema refinement, and code reviews.

  6. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

  7. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.

  8. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

**Requirements**

  • 3 + years as a Relational Database Management Specialist in business as usual and project settings.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SQL 2012 through to 2019.
  • Advanced TSQL development skills - including schema changes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc.
  • Strong data analytic abilities.
  • Strong performance tuning and system optimisation skills.
  • Experienced with High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server.
  • Experienced with source control (GIT).
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems, security, and networking.
