We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced claims professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President. In this role, you will be responsible for handling cases involving the Property and Onshore Construction Lines of Business, ensuring the delivery of excellent claims services and efficient claims operations.
Your primary focus will be on reviewing, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving claims within designated authority levels and in line with established standards, procedures, and guidance provided. You will also exhibit technical leadership, both internally and externally, on claims matters that Allied World participates in.
Additional duties include identifying, investigating suspicious or fraudulent claims, taking appropriate actions, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed. You will also market Allied World's claims capabilities through client meetings, presentations, and seminars to insureds, intermediaries, etc.
Key responsibilities include managing insured/intermediary interactions in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction. This includes handling and resolving any customer feedback or complaints.
You will organize and use approved internal and/or external suppliers to ensure appropriate and timely services are provided to customers. You will also proactively supervise and manage expenses of independent vendors and legal counsels for the involved Lines of Business.
Interacting with relevant internal/external stakeholders to support and deliver business strategy is also a key aspect of this role. You will ensure performance of periodic internal review of claim files, including monitoring/pursuing outstanding recoveries.
You will prepare reports or analyze where necessary regarding claims, including large losses. Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements internally and externally is also a critical responsibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Rlevant academic qualifications with a minimum of 7-10 years' claims experience
- Preferably a holder or in pursuit of professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII and meet minimum local mandatory qualification requirement
- Experience handling large, complex claims for the Property and Onshore Construction Lines of Business
- Knowledge of and experience in claims process improvements
- Demonstrate ability to work with a variety of constituencies, internally and externally, not limited to claims management, policy holders, brokers, consultants, etc.
- Strong negotiating, analytical, written, organizational, and communication skills
- Good management and marketing skills
