About the Role:

You'll lead a skilled team of Asset Inspectors, overseeing the condition assessments of bridges, culverts, and other transport infrastructure assets for a diverse range of clients, including councils, contractors, and state road authorities. This exciting position offers a mix of responsibilities, from project and contractor management to hands-on site inspections, including both destructive and non-destructive testing.

We're looking for a motivated and experienced leader to join our team and take on this challenging role. As an Asset Inspector Team Lead, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive asset condition inspections across multiple sites, project management of typically small to medium-sized projects, and engaging in hands-on site work, project management, and reporting as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small, dedicated team of two Inspectors in the Sydney office, with additional support from bridge and structural engineers.
  • Provide comprehensive asset condition inspections across multiple sites.
  • Project management of typically small to medium-sized projects, ensuring seamless coordination with contractors and the on-time, on-budget delivery of results.
  • Engage in hands-on site work, project management, and reporting as required, providing end-to-end oversight.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years experience undertaking site inspections or managing inspection works, preferably in bridges or transport infrastructure.
  • Qualified as a civil/structural engineer, engineering technician, or with a trade background.
  • Proven leadership of a small team desirable.
  • Strong project management skills desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and contractors.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience on VicRoads, TMR, or RMS/TfNSW Road projects is desirable but not essential.
