About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dementia Care Specialist to join our team at HammondCare Caulfield. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents with dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and domestic assistance to residents, including showering, grooming, toileting, dressing, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Engage with residents, ensuring they are involved in activities they want to do, and recognize, report, and respond appropriately to changes in their conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for residents.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in dementia care.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for serving elderly people and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
  • Flexibility to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing excellent care and support.
  • Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs.
  • Applicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care are highly regarded.
