About the Role:

As a Dementia Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing tailored care to our residents, including personal and domestic support within our residential homes.

Our Cottage style homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia, and you will be running the cottage like a home, which will include:

  • Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting etc.
  • Domestic assistance - cooking, cleaning and laundry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to residents with Dementia, including personal and domestic support
  • Work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and supportive environment for residents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience working with people with Dementia and their families
  • Knowledge of Dementia care principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care, or studying towards a healthcare-related degree
