Strategic Financial Leader

The Finance Manager will lead a committed finance team in a hands-on leadership role, overseeing statutory compliance, audits, and grant acquittals.
This opportunity is for a financial leader to join the organization in Newcastle, Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including rates, AP/AR, and treasury.
- Coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
- Partner with leadership to improve financial literacy and decision-making.
- Contribute to business plans, cost-benefit analyses, and long-term financial strategies.
- Implement and optimise financial systems, policies, and controls.
- Ensure strong governance, accountability, and financial sustainability.
To be successful, you will need a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance, along with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar finance leadership role.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Experience working within or supporting local/state government service delivery.
