Job Title:

A Regulatory Compliance Coordinator position has become available to support the Animal Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and following up on animal registrations, activities, and developments for compliance with local laws and council policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and follow up on animal registrations, activities, and developments for compliance with local laws and council policies.
  • Promote quality customer service through the delivery of compliance activities associated with councils' local laws and state legislation.
  • Provide communication, education, and awareness on driver behavior to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Prepare, collate documents, information, statements, compliance notices, letters, briefing notes, and other written communication in order to substantiate enforcement action and decisions.
  • Issue penalty notices for offences relating to breaches of Council local laws & State legislation.
  • Provide clear, consistent advice and direction to customers demonstrating transparency, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Assist in the animal shelter as required.
  • Maintain compliance, health, safety, and environment policies at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience in undertaking lower-level investigations and the ability to determine the appropriate education or enforcement response.
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service with a proven capability to relate to internal and external stakeholders and to effectively deal with sensitive enforcement and compliance issues.
  • Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on conflict resolution and the ability to manage customer expectations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and personal and professional resilience.
  • Experience in Microsoft suite, administration skills to deal with multiple projects, and complete tasks to a high level of accuracy.
