Job Overview:

The role of a Technical Strategy Leader involves providing expert technical guidance to support the development and implementation of innovative waste management solutions across various industries and government sectors.

You will lead the provision of technical inputs to inform strategic decisions, provide specialist technical input to due diligence assessments, and conduct data analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the provision of technical inputs to inform strategic decisions
  2. Provide specialist technical input to due diligence assessments in fields such as environmental, market, feedstock, and technology due diligence
  3. Conduct data analysis and review complex datasets to inform decision-making
  4. Support the development and implementation of waste management strategies
  5. Deliver high-quality technical documentation to stakeholders
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or a related field
  • 12-15+ years' practical experience in waste and resource recovery/recycling management, with significant demonstrated skills in data analysis, strategy, due diligence, report writing, and environmental assessments
  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines, with particular emphasis on Queensland
  • Strong capabilities in waste advisory and project delivery
