
Technical Services Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled leader to head our technical services department.
You will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex projects across Queensland, providing strategic advice to government and ministerial staff on sensitive issues, and collaborating across the public sector and industry to drive positive outcomes for all Queenslanders.
This role requires strong project management experience in a resource sector or state-owned asset environment, understanding of economic feasibility of resource sector or state-owned asset operations, and experience navigating complex commercial, probity, governance, and legal frameworks.
You will play a critical role in ensuring public safety through effective management of Queensland's abandoned mines program, while fostering economically attractive investment opportunities that benefit all Queenslanders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve economic viability.
- Navigate complex commercial and legal frameworks.
- Lead remote technical experts to deliver broad works/programs and capital expenditure.
- Maintain a current open C-class driver's license.
- A comprehensive resume detailing previous work and relevant experience.
- A cover letter explaining why you are interested and how your knowledge, skills, and attributes complement this role.
- Two referees who have personally observed you displaying key duties, responsibilities, and capability within the previous two years.
