Compensation Specialist

As a Compensation Specialist, you will oversee all facets of international compensation operations. This pivotal role leads the outsourced compensation function for Australia and New Zealand, and guides compensation operations for transitioning Asian countries as they move to our global payroll outsource partner. You will ensure employees across multiple jurisdictions are compensated accurately and on time, while maintaining strict compliance with local, national, and international regulations.



Responsibilities
  • Oversee and approve monthly, fortnightly, and ad-hoc pay runs, ensuring all payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Own monthly compensation reporting, journal preparation, and compensation balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the onshore Melbourne-based compensation compliance team and provide oversight to compensation operations conducted by Manila-based teams.
  • Drive strategic and change management initiatives to continually improve and enhance compensation processes.
  • Ensure the Australia & New Zealand compensation managed service provider meets all SLAs and contractual/compliance obligations.
  • Oversee the transition of Asian countries to the global payroll managed service provider, ensuring effective delivery, SLA adherence, and strong ongoing relationships.
  • Champion the implementation and roll-out of future global managed compensation services, serving as the owner of these services.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience as a Compensation Specialist, ideally within large, complex organisations operating across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with Workday, ADP GlobalView, and/or Ramco Payce Global Payroll is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the coaching and mentorship of both onshore and offshore teams.
