This is an opportunity for a skilled lawyer or associate to work in a leading statutory insurance practice.

The team has extensive experience advising self-insurers on workers compensation matters, including recovery under the scheme.

Key responsibilities include acting for employers on behalf of Work Cover Queensland in workers compensation cases and representing insurers, self-insurers, and corporations.

Other responsibilities include drafting codes of practice and occupational health & safety policies for large organisations, as well as product liability litigation and Australian Consumer Law matters.

A strong understanding of defendant insurance law and the ability to manage workers compensation claims end-to-end are required.

Technical, analytical, and drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail are also essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
