Tradewind Australia is a leading recruitment agency working with Not-for-Profit organisations in Victoria. We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation dedicated to supporting families through various services.

The organisation is seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to join their Media and Communications team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will support the team to drive successful media outcomes for campaigns and programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing media and communication strategies to enhance the organisation's profile.
  • Coordinating media engagement activities, including press releases, media briefings, and responses to inquiries.
  • Developing engaging content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Monitoring media coverage and providing timely reports on campaign performance.
  • Assisting in managing relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to tailor content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in media monitoring, reporting, and working with media representatives.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
