Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Media and Communications Advisor to join our client's Media & Comms team based in Melbourne.

The organisation we are representing is looking for a professional to support the Media and Communications function to drive successful media outcomes for campaigns and programs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of media and communication strategies to enhance the organisation's profile.
  • Coordinate media engagement activities, including press releases, media briefings, and responses to inquiries.
  • Develop engaging content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide timely reports on campaign performance.
  • Assist in managing relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to tailor content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in media monitoring, reporting, and working with media representatives.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
