Located on the edge of the central city, Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is just a short distance from key attractions. The hotel boasts 179 spacious rooms, each featuring open-air balconies, modern conveniences, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and a vibrant restaurant and bar.
Job OverviewWe are in search of a Front Office Assistant Manager to support our team during a fixed-term parental leave cover.
This role is hands-on and requires a strong focus on customer service, with an emphasis on leading by example to uphold our brand standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing guest satisfaction, identifying trends, and promoting continuous improvement within our team and processes.
- Overseeing guest arrivals and departures, ensuring compliance with hotel procedures and standards for room allocations and check-in/out processes.
- Ensuring the accuracy of data and reporting.
- Collaborating daily with the Reservations team.
- Managing customer relations to deliver memorable experiences for our guests.
- Acting as our 'Loyalty Champion' to recruit new members for our loyalty program.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within luxury hotel environments.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Front Office standards and procedures.
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High standards of grooming and presentation.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with Opera Cloud is highly advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
