Job Description

Data Governance Role Overview

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is seeking a Principal Data Governance Analyst to join the team on a 2-year fixed term. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding uplifted data governance policies, standards, and procedures as well as uplifting measurement and monitoring.

  • Embed enhanced enterprise data governance in alignment with APRA's multi-year Data Strategy.
  • Define, document, and implement data governance strategies, policies, standards, and frameworks across data lifecycle activities such as data collection, data quality, master, reference, and metadata management, analytics, reporting, and publishing.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on data governance practices on data collection, validations, enrichment, classification, security, usage, retention, and controls to enable APRA's new data platform.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across data, technology, security, and the business to embed data governance best practices and uplift data maturity across APRA.
