Data Governance Strategist

As a seasoned Data Governance Strategist, you will ensure the seamless integration of data governance policies, processes and standards across our organization.
Job Description
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote best practices, document business rules for data usage and sharing (internal and third-party), embed minimum data management standards, and establish clear approval processes for data use or disclosure.
Develop and implement initiatives to guarantee adherence to contractual, regulatory, and internal rules regarding data assets.
Act as the primary subject matter expert, guiding stakeholders on appropriate and compliant use of data for new initiatives and use cases.
Provide independent oversight and guidance for all strategic data partnerships and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the data management strategy for the entire data lifecycle, ensuring data is handled according to organizational policies.
Drive the rollout and ongoing development of the data governance framework across projects and teams, fostering data stewardship and accountability.
Our ideal candidate has 5-7+ years experience implementing and operating data management strategies across large, complex organizations, with deep understanding of modern data architectures, data practices, and data technologies.
