Field Service Technician

Our company is a leading provider of automated CNC solid timber processing machinery for engineered timber products. We serve Australia and New Zealand with a Sales, Spare Parts and Remote Service facility in Rowville, Victoria, and support over 140 installations across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct regular maintenance and repairs on our equipment at customer sites.
  • Investigate complex technical issues and provide expert recommendations to customers and management.
  • Identify and rectify faults or defects in a timely manner.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for customers on efficient operation and basic maintenance of our equipment.
  • Ensure all installation safety protocols, including adherence to SWMS and SOPs, are up to date.
  • Monitor production and provide assistance/advice to customers on process improvements.
  • Install new equipment – standalone or integrated with automated systems at customer sites.
  • Provide remote support to customers and machines during regular business hours.
Requirements
  • Multi-axis CNC woodworking machinery service experience (or similar) with Electrical/Mechanical trade skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a service technician.
  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of general mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
  • Capacity to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Australian residency.
