A dynamic role that aims to close the gap in cancer-related health outcomes for First Nations People in rural northern Victoria.
- This project involves developing and implementing co-designed optimal care pathways, enhancing cultural safety, prevention, and early detection of cancer.
This is a 3-year fixed-term, part-time position. As a project coordinator, you will work closely with another team member to achieve the project's objectives.
The key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a comprehensive literature review on First Nations cancer care
- Developing a program logic and monitoring and evaluation framework to guide the project plan
- Designing and delivering culturally safe cancer educational resources through a community-led co-design process
- Delivering advanced cultural safety training for staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with First Nations populations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across different groups
- Effective project coordination skills
- Demonstrated commitment to working autonomously and within a team
