In this pivotal role, you will provide culturally sensitive mental health and well-being support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals through short-term counselling, while also assisting organisations with a significant First Nations employee base to improve workplace well-being. The Day-to-Day:

6. Travel within the state and interstate as required for client and organisational needs.
7. Manage client risk and clinical presentations in a short-term counselling framework.
8. Collaborate with colleagues and access peer consultation and external supervision.

About You:

1. Proven experience in providing mental health and well-being support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
2. Strong understanding of the cultural, historical, familial, and societal factors influencing mental health in First Nations communities.
3. Qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.
4. Professional registration with a relevant health professional body (AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA).
5. Minimum of three years of counselling experience.
6. Ability to manage clinical risk and client presentations effectively.
7. Confidence with computer systems is an asset.
8. A passion for delivering culturally informed mental health services.
9. Flexibility to work in a dynamic and evolving environment with a focus on client well-being.

For You:

- Contribute to the delivery of proactive employee mental health and related services in a sector that has a critical impact on the health, well-being and welfare of others.
- Engage in values-driven work - driving culturally sensitive mental health and well-being support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
- Flexible working arrangements – including working from home options and adjustments to hours. We can work with you to find mutually suitable arrangements.
- Access to peer consultation and external supervision.
- Access to hundreds of professional development courses to help you further your clinical skills as you see fit.
- Career progression - for the right clinicians, there are opportunities to further your career into leadership positions or specialist services.
- Other benefits include wellbeing days, volunteer days, and a generous parental leave policy.
