**Job Title:** First Nations Workforce Development Specialist
**Overview**: This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and collaborative individual to join our team as a First Nations Workforce Development Specialist. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of Barring Djinang, the Victorian public sector's First Peoples' Workforce Development Strategy.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with First Nations stakeholders, public sector departments, agencies, and entities to drive culturally informed employment initiatives.
- Prepare high-level briefings, support collaborative project delivery, and ensure cultural insight informs policy and practice across the sector.
- Develop and implement strategies to advance self-determination, truth-telling, Treaty processes, and improved outcomes for First Nations communities within the public sector.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Deep understanding of the issues impacting First Nations communities, particularly in relation to employment and career progression.
- Strong project delivery skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills to build strong relationships, share knowledge, and contribute to a values-driven and culturally informed team environment.
