**In this role, you'll be expected to:**

- Develop technical solutions to meet business needs taking into account recommended technologies, non-functional requirements, internal policies, and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and other technology team members both locally and overseas
- Collaborate with local and regional businesses
- Support the head of Australian Markets and Securities Services Technology and global Warrants Market Making business
- Comply with the Code of Conduct's ethical standards
- Possess strong capabilities in Business Analysis, Architecture, and Design
- Experience with implementing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and taking them from initial concept through to final delivery and post-implementation support
- In-depth knowledge of FIX protocol and proven experience in front-office system delivery
- Understanding of Market Making concepts and Algo Trading is preferable
- Good foundation in equity derivatives and understanding of greeks and risk calculations is desirable
- Understanding of high-volume, low-latency trading systems and technical challenges of their design and operation
- Well-rounded technologist with a good grasp of Java, C++, and C#
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (Sybase, SQL Server) and script languages (Perl, Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of third-party Market Data provider platforms is highly desirable
- Proven experience with analysis and design in a real-time environment, preferably gained in a financial trading systems environment
- Experience working effectively with remote teams across different time zones
- Understanding of guiding principles of robust enterprise architecture
- Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical concepts to various audiences at an appropriate level in clear and concise manner
- Familiarity with traditional waterfall and agile project management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of the Australian equities and derivatives markets
- Understanding of issues and concerns surrounding Market Making and Algo trading
- Familiarity with regulatory environments related to Market Making
