About Our Client

K92 Mining is a rapidly growing gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The company operates the high-grade Kainantu Goldmine in Papua New Guinea, delivering six consecutive years of gold production growth since restarting operations in 2016.

A key moment was the discovery of near-mine infrastructure in May 2017, combining the Kora, Eutompi, and Kora North deposits into one large deposit, called Kora. This high-grade discovery has driven commercial production, with the mine operating at a head grade of approximately 12 g/t AuEq since early 2018.

Job Description

This role reports to the Principle - Talent Manager and takes the lead on senior technical recruitment across site and Brisbane-based locations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from candidate sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and acceptance.
  • Proactive searching and talent pooling for strategic roles.
  • Collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Managing agency relationships.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience recruiting within the mining industry, with a track record of recruiting across underground mining, technical services, exploration, or processing. They will possess:

  • Prior experience working in Talent Acquisition, either in-house or agency environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong time management skills to fill roles efficiently.

Based on national averages, this role comes with an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$180,000 AUD, reflecting the complexity and importance of this position within the organization.
