Leadership Role

Yarra Trams requires a leadership figure to oversee the delivery of various projects aimed at enhancing its tram network.

  • Providing strategic guidance in the delivery of a portfolio of projects that will transform the tram network, including improving safety, functionality, accessibility, and passenger experience.
  • Exhibiting excellence in project and people management, serving as a representative for Yarra Trams project delivery capability at industry engagements while continuously developing team capabilities and demonstrating company values;
  • Driving collaboration and direct engagement across departments and with external partners, delivering within established frameworks and agreements.
About the Opportunity

This role is perfect for someone with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a related field
  • Certified Project Director via AIPM or equivalent professional certification would be advantageous
  • Proven experience and leadership of large and complex projects from initiation to delivery and handover
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of OHSE legislative requirements and individual duty of care
  • Understanding of business development principles and interplay between contracts, operations, and commercial outcomes
  • Experience in contractual negotiations and management at a senior level and commercial dealings with Government
  • Experience in managing risk and quality, including expertise in Engineering Assurance and Project Completions
  • High-level experience and knowledge of program and project management processes, methodologies, standards, and templates
