Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Rehabilitation Consultant. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the occupational rehabilitation sector, providing services to clients with various conditions, both physical and psychological. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload, working closely with a strong and supportive team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of clients, providing occupational rehabilitation services to support their return to health and work.
- Deliver innovative services, including IPAR's Re-thinking Recovery program, which utilizes virtual reality and modern pain science to help clients understand pain and re-train their brain and body.
- Collaborate with clients, employers, medical professionals, and allied health experts to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
- Conduct various assessments, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.
- Work closely with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks and ensure efficient case management.
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology with registration with ESSA and SIRA Accreditation.
- Previous experience in the occupational rehabilitation industry is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
- A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance are required.
