Sustainability Manager, Built Environment

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager, Built Environment to join our team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability strategy and ensuring that our physical estate is aligned with our net-zero goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement our Responsible Property Framework (RPF) to ensure that our assets are designed, constructed, and operated in a sustainable and net-zero manner.
- Conduct climate risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate these risks across our built environment.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure best-in-class delivery and sustainability outcomes.
- Oversee Scope 1, 2, and selected Scope 3 carbon reporting and manage contracts with carbon consultants.
- Support external assurance processes and progress reporting against Science Based Targets.
Requirements:
- Degree in sustainability or a related engineering discipline.
- Business strategy skills and experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders.
