Sustainability Manager, Built Environment

Role Overview:
This is a hybrid working role, offering a unique blend of remote and office-based work. As a Sustainability Manager, Built Environment, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Partnership's net-zero ambitions, focusing on the built environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the organization's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements, policies, and regulations.
About the Role:
With the Partnership's commitment to achieving net-zero by 2035, this position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that innovates, designs, and delivers sustainable property solutions. You will work closely with the Technical Services Team, setting standards, policies, and specifications for building design, construction, and maintenance. Your role will involve reinvigorating the Responsible Property Framework (RPF) to ensure it aligns with the Partnership's net-zero goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the implementation of the RPF, ensuring sustainable practices and net-zero targets are integrated into all aspects of property management.
- Evaluate and address climate risks across the built environment, monitoring and enhancing indoor environment quality.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class sustainability outcomes.
- Oversee Scope 1, 2, and selected Scope 3 carbon reporting, managing contracts with carbon consultants for accurate data collation.
- Support external assurance processes and progress reporting against Science Based Targets.
Requirements:
- Degree in sustainability or a related engineering discipline.
- Business strategy skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex data to senior stakeholders.
