Sustainability Manager, Built Environment

Join the John Lewis Partnership in driving the company's sustainability goals and reducing its environmental impact. As a Sustainability Manager, Built Environment, you will play a key role in aligning the physical estate with legislation, policies, and regulations.
About the RoleThis is a hybrid working role, with time split between working from home and the Head Office. The role can be based at either the Bracknell or London Head Office, depending on preference. The salary range is £52,800 - £84,300, and this is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Responsible Property Framework to ensure sustainable and net-zero design, construction, and operation of assets.
- Evaluate and address climate risks across the built environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class sustainability outcomes.
- Oversee Scope 1, 2, and selected Scope 3 carbon reporting, ensuring accurate data collation and external assurance processes.
- Support the company's Purpose, Ethics & Sustainability strategy, contributing to the achievement of net-zero targets.
- Degree in sustainability or engineering discipline.
- Business strategy skills, with experience in influencing and negotiating.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data to senior stakeholders.
