Job Overview

A seasoned professional is required to lead the delivery of capital works projects from initiation to handover. The ideal candidate will utilize expertise in the Local Government Building and Construction Industry to develop and deliver a range of projects with precision and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering projects by leveraging knowledge of the Local Government Building and Construction Industry.
  • Liaising with governing authorities and/or utility providers.
  • Coordinating design, managing contractors, providing technical direction, and ensuring projects are delivered within predetermined limits of time, cost, and quality.
  • Collaborating and managing client and project needs using effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a similar field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects, including project finances, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction legislation and standards and proficiency in Office 365.
  • Previous experience in civil, landscape, building, and public domain works, especially in a local government setting, is highly desirable.
