Overview

Citi's Treasury & Trade Solutions business seeks a highly skilled Strategic Client Engagement Director to lead large-scale, long-term projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the strategic alignment and success of these critical initiatives.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President to join our team as a Strategic Client Engagement Director. This individual will be responsible for leading client interactions and project management for complex projects, working closely with operations, technology, product management, and control function teams.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Strategy Implementation:

  • Define, plan, and manage complex project workstreams across key strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate project risks and demand plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee contract execution process, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and aligned with project objectives.

Executive Communication and Reporting:

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and materials to senior members of the team, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and internal teams (Sales, Product, Operations, Technology), maintaining continuous communication and transparency throughout project lifecycles.

Stakeholder Engagement and Team Collaboration:

  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined and integrated into project plans.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Continuously evaluate project processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.

Accountability and Success Metrics:

  • Take full responsibility for the engagement's success, tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience as a technology-focused Program Manager or in a similar leadership role in a financial services industry.
  • Good understanding of various trade products and/or processes in the transaction banking space.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical product or program management, with the ability to guide strategic initiatives.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
