About the Role

This exciting senior leadership opportunity is now available for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead a diverse program of education and engagement events, develop digital resources, drive strategic initiatives, pursue new partnerships, and manage complex stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement education programs for school students, including secondary school student leaders, and videoconferencing programs for primary students.
  • Work closely with the Houses of Parliament to develop, deliver, and promote syllabus-led school tours and role plays for NSW students.
  • Design and produce civics and citizenship resources for students and teachers across NSW.
  • Develop and implement Aboriginal engagement strategies, including cultural capability, public events, and committee support.
  • Manage community engagement initiatives, including public talks, events, and family open days.
  • Provide strategic communication advice and support across the Department of Parliamentary Services for key priorities and projects.
  • Manage reactive media management and public affairs.
  • Develop proactive communications for the Parliament and NSW Parliament House as a visitor destination.

About You

You will be an innovative, energetic, and experienced leader with a strong track record in motivating teams, developing digital resources, driving strategic initiatives, pursuing new partnerships, and managing complex stakeholder needs. Experience in education and engagement, visitor experience, and/or strategic communications is highly desirable.
