Job Opportunity

This is a permanent role where you'll have the opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new Verification & Validation department.

As a Verification & Validation Manager, you'll be responsible for building and managing a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for cutting-edge electro/mechanical/software devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a dedicated V&V team, guiding them towards high-quality results.
  • Process Implementation: Implement new processes to ensure high quality and reliability across the development lifecycle.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, direction and training where needed, fostering growth within your team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other managers across R&D, aligning V&V objectives with overall business goals.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in verification and validation, with a strong background in management and team leadership.
  • Department Setup: Expertise in setting up a V&V department/team from scratch, including planning and managing the setup and installation of a new department.
  • Test Team Leadership: Hands-on approach to leading test teams, both internally and with external manufacturing partners, ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment and sub-assemblies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in calibrating new equipment and utilising software tools for product testing and protocols.
  • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning and experience in leading a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, with a focus on electro/mechanical/software devices or systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt and compromise without compromising quality.
  • System Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of system testing methodologies in highly regulated industries such as consumer/defence/medical/aerospace.
  • Automation Tools: Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Embedded Systems: Exposure to embedded systems, RF sensing, sensor fusion, or signal processing technologies is highly desirable.
