About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic psychologist to work part-time in school hours, contributing to the development of play, communication, self-care, and learning skills in children and young people. As a member of our team, you'll be working closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Physiotherapists to provide comprehensive support to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical assessments to determine goals and areas of need.
- Provide information, education, and support to clients and families.
- Develop functional, routine-based goals with clients and families.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions and resources.
- Review progress and set new priorities in collaboration with clients and families.
- Support inclusion and participation in community activities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and ongoing support.
To succeed in this role, you'll require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current registration with AHPRA.
- A passion for delivering engaging and meaningful therapy experiences.
- Excellent counselling skills and knowledge of therapeutic interventions.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments (desirable).
