As a team lead in the payroll department, you will be at the forefront of strategic transformation, working closely with other team leads to streamline payroll processes across the group.
You will oversee a team of payroll officers, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant payroll services across multiple entities.
Your leadership will foster a high-performance culture, drive continuous improvement and ensure service excellence for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and mentor a high-performing payroll team.
- Collaborate with other team leads on strategic payroll initiatives.
- Champion change management and process improvement across the payroll function.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues.
- Support system upgrades, testing and integrations.
- Build strong relationships with HR, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience in payroll leadership within a complex, high-volume environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative, resilient and solutions-focused mindset.
