Senior Rural General Practitioner Opportunity in Western Tasmania

We are seeking a Senior Rural General Practitioner to join our team in Western Tasmania, providing primary healthcare services to the community.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a general practitioner to work in a beautiful and remote area of Tasmania. You will be based in Strahan and Zeehan, working across two clinics and providing support to the local community.
The role involves working as the solo GP, with admin and nursing support available. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, from acute care to chronic disease management.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful applicant will receive a competitive salary of $1320 per day, paid for clinic-based work and $400 per night for on-call cover. The role also offers 15-minute standard consultation times and the use of Best Practice software.
In addition to the salary, you will also receive benefits such as travel, car and family-friendly accommodation, making it an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy outdoor activities or want to experience rural living.
About the LocationStrahan and Zeehan are located on the west coast of Tasmania, offering stunning views and access to a range of outdoor activities. You will have the opportunity to explore the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, go hiking, or simply enjoy the scenic views.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must hold FRACGP/FACRRM or VR qualification, have current Specialist registration with AHPRA, and full working rights in Australia.
