Rural General Practitioner Opportunity on King Island

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner for our medical centre on King Island, Tasmania. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our team and become an integral part of the local community.
King Island offers a unique lifestyle, with stunning beaches, world-class golf courses, and a close-knit community. As a Rural Generalist GP VMO, you will take over an existing patient base in a high demand setting, delivering comprehensive healthcare services, including on-call support for the local hospital.
The King Island Hospital provides emergency and acute care services, as well as outpatient services such as physiotherapy, podiatry, and mental health support. Our practice offers clinical autonomy with open agreements in a leading medical group, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
You will be eligible for rural grants and a reduction on moratorium, as well as eligibility for RVTS, ACRRM Independent Pathway, ACRRM RGTS, and FSP. You will also have access to housing and vehicle provided, relocation assistance, and comprehensive operational and clinical management support.
As a successful candidate, you will possess AHPRA General Registration or Vocational Registration, proficiency in managing common general practice conditions, current emergency medicine certification (APLS, ELS, etc.), and rural general practitioner experience.
The salary for this role is estimated at $300-400K per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking a rewarding career in general practice.
